Too much swimming pool
July 18, 2016, 8:16 AM- Q: Doctor, Our 2-year-old Havanese male dog played with us in the pool for about an hour. Now is seems to have no energy, no interest in food, and he is drooling a lot. What should we do to help him. Thank you. Patrick.
- A: There are a couple possibilities based on the info provided. It is probably a combination of heat, irritation from treated water and possibly mild dehydration. I will call you to discuss his status and provide a plan to get him back to normal.
