Chews feet

Q: My 6 month old Maltipoo constantly chews his feet. We tried tritop ointment and cortisone cream. Nothing helps. Any suggestions. He eats Royal Canin puppy dry food.

A: At 6months of age allergy starts to be possible and usually is best treated with oral medications or injections from your vet. Make sure the nails and hair on his feet are in good shape. Some times topical irritation from household chemicals can be the cause. Especially cleaners and carpet treatments.
