Shih Poo Breed Info
The Shih Poo is a cross breed between the Shih Tzu and Poodle dog breeds. This hybrid breed is known for its unique combination of the Shih Tzu's friendly and affectionate nature and the Poodle's intelligence and hypoallergenic coat. Shih Poos typically weigh between 9 to 16 pounds and reach a height of 9 to 11 inches at the shoulder. They have a round face and big, expressive eyes that make them an adorable and endearing breed.
Shih Poos are low-shedding dogs, making them a popular choice for people who suffer from pet allergies. Their coat is curly, dense, and soft, and it requires regular grooming to keep it in good condition. These dogs are also intelligent and easily trained, making them great family pets. They are playful, energetic, and love to cuddle with their owners.
Shih Poos are well-suited to apartment living, as they don't require a lot of exercise and they don't have a high energy level. They are also adaptable to different living situations and can thrive in both urban and suburban environments. These dogs are ideal for families with children and elderly people, as they are gentle and patient.
Overall, the Shih Poo is a charming and lovable breed that makes a great companion for people of all ages. With its combination of good looks, friendly personality, and low-shedding coat, it's no wonder that this doodle breed is becoming increasingly popular.
